Born in Brazil, where her father owned a retail clothing chain, Juliana Schiavinatto began working alongside him as an assistant buyer at just 15. Years later, as a graduate of commerce, fashion and design, her ability to intelligently conceptualize and deliver powerful images has garnered an impressive clientele for her. As a contributor to national and international magazines such as PULP, V, ELLE, Soma, Noise and Zink, Juliana Schiavinatto brings her modern, confident aesthetic to every page. This form has also been utilized to communicate the vision of such advertising clients as Buffalo Jeans, Harry Rosen, and Jones New York, and in her work with her international celebrity clientele Nelly Furtado, Katy Perry and John Legend. Her expertise extends beyond print, as she also specializes in Runway shows, with the ability to explore possibilities and push boundaries while maintaining a strong collaboration with the designer. She has worked in this capacity with clients like Holt Renfrew, Pink Tartan, Line, Rachel Roy, Jones New York and Buffalo by David Bitton. Along with her recent consulting position with leading Canadian knitwear design label Line, Juliana has also worked for five years as a consultant for major international brand MAC Cosmetics, overseeing costumes for their worldwide events, shows and press launches. With over ten years of experience in the industry, Schiavinatto is currently based in Toronto and is Editor-in-Chief and Creative Director of Pulp Magazine.
