Susie Sheffman is among the most influential Fashion Directors in the Canadian industry, having spent almost thirty years conceptualizing, styling and directing fashion stories for top magazines.
Sheffman took an early interest in fashion, spending most of her free time as a child tracing models out of magazines. In the early 80’s, Sheffman was hired by Bonnie Fuller at Flare, where she soon became Fashion Editor.
In 2001, after years as a Contributing Editor at Fashion Magazine, Sheffman took on the role of Fashion Director at the magazine which she currently holds.
During her prolific career, as both an editor and creative consultant and stylist, she has had the rare opportunity to work with such fashion icons as Kevyn Aucoin, Walter Chin, Cliff Watts, and supermodels Linda Evangelista, Shalom Harlow, Yasmeen Ghauri, Liya Kebede, Jessica Stam, Daria Werbowy and Coco Rocha. She has acted as creative consultant and stylist for numerous celebrities including Ashley Olsen, Jennifer Hudson, Daryl Hannah, Claire Danes, Taylor Swift, Britney Spears, Rihanna and Hilary Duff.
Along with her extensive editorial contributions, Susie’s fresh, visionary direction has helped shape top advertising campaigns including Holt Renfrew, Club Monaco, Winners, Linda Lundstrom, and Jones New York. Sheffman is one of only a handful of Canadian editors who regularly attends the international shows and brings this knowledge and trend forecasting to every brand she works with.
In November 2011, she recently was awarded the prestigious title of Best Fashion Editor at the P&G Beauty Awards.
