BIOGRAPHY
Inspired by her grandmother, a master in oil painting, Vanessa Jarman’s early ambition to become a professional makeup and hair artist began while giving her high school class mates touch-ups between classes.
Upon completing professional training in Visual Arts and later in Makeup & Hair, Vanessa has gone on to cement her place in the Canadian market as the one to watch. Vanessa’s fresh, graphic style and contemporary aesthetic combined with the precision of a pro, has turned the heads of some of the country’s top clients and editors alike.
Currently the RIMMEL London spokesperson for Canada, Vanessa’s work has been seen in the pages of FASHION, Elle Quebec, Metro Pop, Spade and Glow, as well as campaigns for Pink Tartan, Ssense, Krane, Yorkdale and Twenty Cluny.
She is considered a leading beauty expert and is called upon regularly by TV and print publications for her take on the latest makeup and beauty trends.
Jarman’s experience has also extended to positions both on and off camera for hit television shows like Canada’s Next Top Model, Revamped, and How to Look Good Naked, as well as Jay Manuel’s personal makeup artist for Style her Famous.
With her impeccable skills and infectious personality, Vanessa is also a celebrity favourite, having worked repeatedly with Lady Gaga for editorial, film and performances while in Toronto. She has worked on celebrities Alicia Silverstone, Drake, Adam Lambert, and Trey Songz as well as top models, Alana Zimmer, Irina Lazareanu and Yasmin Warsame.
